Shoreham and Lancing CABs jointly run a Welfare Benefits
Outreach Service to help people who cannot get into the
Bureau.
The Outreach Workers visit clients who typically are elderly, ill or have mental health problems.
To claim some Welfare Benefits people sometimes need
to give details about personal care which they find
difficult to talk about. The Outreach Workers are independent
and impartial, and often trusted by and able to help
people who will not see any other agency. We give clients
and their families help with other Benefits and information
about services that can improve quality of life. Often
the benefits we help people claim make all the difference
and enable them to stay in their own home.
The Service is funded by
West Sussex Social and Caring Services.
